The Quests in the world of the Dragon's Den
That is the dictionary definition more or less. Now you may wonder how quests will affect your life here on Dragon's Den. That is very simple. Quests are missions just like the knights of medieval times once engaged in for their rulers. Their prizes were numerous if successful. In short, the quests we have available here are for you, and the prizes which you will receive may very well be numerous.
There is no special item/thing you need to go on any quest, just go read the quest hints in the basement of the town hall in Fortherly. Those hints are there to give you an idea of where to start your quest and to give you a general idea of what needs to be accomplished and the level of difficulty. Once you complete a quest, you will more than likely be congratulated and will be given the specified number of points that quest was worth when you solved it, not to mention keep any spoils of victory along the way.
Quest points are needed in order to advance your player level, the number of quest points that are required to reach a certain level depend on which guild you are a member of, some require you to solve more quests than do other guilds.
All quests have been assigned a fixed value based upon their overall level of difficulty. The difference between quests is that the higher point quests will be harder, require more thinking, and take longer to complete, while the lower point quests are those that are fairly simple to complete.

Acolycan the Archwizard
Point Value: 750
Location: West of TOwn
Recommended Levels: 25+
Beneath the struggling city of Tryst lurks an evil that increases in strength and determination with each passing day.
Long ago, the Archwizard Acolycan ruled the land, forcing all to do his bidding. Driven from his post of power during the Great Upheaval, he fled into the underworld where he was unheard from for centuries.
Recently, a tremendous storm rolled into the land. It was an evil storm, striking down people with its deep purple clouds. It was rumored that Acolycan was plotting his revenge and that he called upon the dark spirits of the ancient fire god, Lourge. Soon afterwards, the town was raided, and the only remaining mystical artifact from that ancient time was taken: The Staff of Striking. It was once Acolycan's ruling Staff, which he used to drive thousands to their deaths and it is now rumored that it is back in his possession.
With this staff, and the power that it possesses, it is believed that Acolycan the Archwizard is building a mystical army to reclaim the lands he once ruled.
Retrieve the staff from Acolycan. Destroy all who oppose you in your quest. There is no doubt that Acolycan is devious, therefore it is likely that only one careful path must be taken in order for this task to be complete. Part of Acolycan's power is his ability to reside on other planes of existance, and that is probably where he will be found.
The land of Tryst is accessible only through the tunnels that spider out from the great rift. Be warned, only enter knowing that the possibility of death is a reality.
Find the Chancellor and follow his instructions.
